We understand that work or family commitments can take up time. At IU, you have the choice between full-time or part-time study models to fit learning around your daily life.
If you’re looking at an online programme, you have absolute freedom to start any time, with no need to wait for term to start. Or for campus studies, we offer two intakes—so you can decide if you want to start in Spring or in Autumn.
Business and management skills are becoming more and more important in today’s career climate. Our graduates boast intercultural awareness, excellent English skills and extensive knowledge of general management, which opens the door to great careers and managerial positions in many industries. The figures from our graduate surveys speak for themselves!
Want to get to know the IU International University of Applied Sciences?
We asked our student Jay what her experiences are and she tells us more about studying at IU International.
IU provides you with what you need to study anytime, anywhere. Whether you’re looking for a distance learning programme to study online at home, or you want the university experience on campus, we have programmes for both. So, you can find a degree that suits your learning style. The majority of our programmes are available fully online and studied by students across the globe.
Our international vision is fuelled by a digital approach and highly rated online learning. You can study comfortably at home with digital learning materials, decide for yourself when and where you want to visit a lecture online and even decide when to take your exams online. Prefer to take them in an exam hall? Even if you choose an online programme, you can take your exams in an exam hall at one of 130 Goethe Institute locations (fees apply).
In the IU online environment, you always have digital learning materials and tools on hand to ensure success in your degree—no matter if you’re studying online or on campus. You’ll have access to study tools, educational videos, interactive books and courses, online forums, and more. You can talk to your professors and tutors online, who are available to support you in your programme and in preparing for exams. In addition, our study coaches and advisors can help you with anything you need for personal success. You can chat with them about time management, organisation, coaching, career advice as well as reach out to your fellow students through online groups and forums.
You benefit from the chance of lucrative salary increases in your old or new job.
You will be able to develop professionally and be ready to take on new tasks.
You’ll have greater chances of promotion and take on more management responsibility.
Our team of professional advisors and educators support you on your search for internships, with job placement issues, and with contacts in companies that align with your studies. We organise company presentations on our IU campuses, carry out applicant training and interview coaching, examine application documents, and offer you personal advice to ensure you have every chance to boost your career.
Even after you have graduated, our Career Office will always be there for career-related questions and concerns. The Career Office is also a point of contact for our partner companies searching for candidates for jobs or internships. We are also happy to update you on vacancies and networking events via JOBTEASER.
When you graduate, you’ll also benefit from the ever-growing IU alumni community and be able to participate in a wide range of alumni-focused events.
As an IU alumnus, you can also choose to represent us as part of the Alumni Council. The Alumni Council is a direct link between students and the IU faculty and board, enabling developments and improvements for the entire university. Anyone who has studied a degree programme with us can be elected to the IU Alumni Council.
Our programmes are recommended by thousands of students, including students and alumni that work in top companies.
