IU International University of Applied Sciences (hereafter IU) strives to keep its website up to date, accurate and complete. Nevertheless, and despite careful processing of information, it cannot be entirely ruled out that errors occur.

IU excludes all liability for the topicality, correctness, completeness or quality of the information provided on its website. Liability claims against the IU which refer to damages of material or immaterial nature that are caused by the usage or non-usage of the featured information, or through the use of faulty and incomplete information, are categorically excluded unless it can be proven that there was deliberate or gross negligence on the part of IU. On May 12 1998 the regional court (LG) Hamburg decreed that website providers can be held responsible for the contents of any linked pages. According to LG Hamburg, the only way to disclaim responsibility is to expressly distance oneself from the contents of the websites in questions.

IU has set up links on their website. With these references to external websites which lie outside the sphere of IU’s responsibility, a liability obligation would only become effective in the event that IU has knowledge of the contents and it would be technically feasible and reasonable to expect IU to prevent the usage of the external website in the event of illegal contents.

IU expressly declares that at the time of activating the links there was no illegal contents on the linked pages. IU has no influence whatsoever on the current and future design and contents of linked pages. Therefore, IU hereby explicitly dissociates itself from all contents of all linked pages that were modified after the activation of the link. This declaration is valid for all links and references within its own internet site as well as for any external entries in guest books, discussion forums and mailing lists.

All protected trademarks and brand names that appear on the website are unrestrictedly subject to the terms of the respective and valid trademark law and the rights of the respective registered owner. Simply naming them does not mean that trademarks are not protected by the rights of third parties! The copyright protection for published materials created or commissioned by IU remains exclusively with IU and the commissioned enterprise. In the event of disputes with the IU Internationale Hochschule GmbH, the online dispute resolution platform of the EU Commission for online dispute resolution: www.ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr would be responsible.

However, IU Internationale Hochschule GmbH refuses to participate in dispute settlement procedures.
